i just recieved a check, but my last name on it is completely wrong. ie. my name is jason x, but the check says jason y, but my address and everything else is correct. what do i do?

I used to work in a bank..do not use them, call the 1800# and bring the checks back to your bank....they will reissue at no charge..

is it a payroll or a personal check from someone? I think you may have to have the person who wrote you the check make out a new one with your correct name spelling...

Telephone the company/person who sent you the cheque and tell them of the mistake. They will replace cheque for you. Destroy cheque with wrong name on when you are in receipt of replacement.

other wise call the ph # that on the ck

Write deposit only on the back and your account number. Deposit into your account at your bank. You would have a problem cashing it.
