I have alot of male friends, and i want my husband to enjoy this as much as i have. Afterall it's his baby too. I was hoping to just throw a celebration party rather than the traditional baby shower.

I did. It was great. I loved it being everyone as it should..these are the people who are going to be in your child's life..its a celebration..not a chick squak fest.

We did ours in the apartment complex club house. There was a small kitchen, lots of room, darts, pool table, swimming pool on the side. We had a great day of BBQ, Swim and just hanging out.

Check out Bed and Breakfests. You can rent one for the weekend and have a great party like I did and some have pools too.

A Last Vacation and family reunion all in one before the little one is here.

Good Luck!

Well my cousin just recently had a co-ed baby shower for her twin boys and it was a success. Alot of her male friends showed up and so did family members. They also played games and just had fun. All I can say is just announce that it is a co-ed baby shower and they will come because that's what my cousin did and some played and participated in the games and others just enjoyed the fun and helped out alot.

My baby shower was co-ed, and I loved it. The hated the thought of getting together with a bunch of women, especially the snotty ones on the in-law side of the family, and trying to have a good time doing girly, baby-showery kinds of stuff, lol.

So we had an all-day BBQ at my MIL's house that was a lot of fun, cuz it was just like a regular party, I got to see alot of old friends, male and female, and *all* the important people in my life got to celebrate the upcoming baby, not just the womenfolk!

Good luck and have fun!

I'm going to have guys and girls at my baby shower. It's getting more popular now a days. You don't have to do all those silly games, most people don't like them anyway. Just have people over have a cake and do presents and let the guys have beer if they drink it, Maybe you can make it a gag party make the guys dress up as babies that would be hilarious. Hey I might do that lol. The women could coddle them the whole time lol. That would be funny. Good luck! And Congrats.

This is a new one on me, but I did attend a 2nd cousins baby shower once, and my husband got the time wrong to pick me up, he ended up staying for the rest of the shower, and it really did liven things up. Perhaps it was just the oddity of the situation, but he certainly didn't lack for conversation partners that evening. Why not have a baby shower, and a celebration party too.

I have found out the hard way that men do NOT want to be @ a baby shower. They might attempt to be interested if they are nice guys however, they usually end up in another room together, not participating. I think pregnant women like the full attention on them anyway. If you are looking for the men to participate, it may be a lost cause. Who knows though, it could happen. Good luck

I have had one and thrown one for my sister and her husband a few months ago. They were both great fun. Get Daddy involved from the start! Some activities that the men liked too were decorating onsies with fabric markers for keepsakes (they got really creative) and the good old guess the melted candy bars in the diapers game (great photo opportunities with this game too).

I agree that the co-ed is extra exciting. some people prefer to stick with custom and in basic terms have the female, that's positive, and likewise for some people the lads in thier kin won't delight in it, yet once you're making it extra of a party and in basic terms all dangle out and loosen up it is so lots extra exciting. it is likewise lots extra handy to plot. the adult men are not going to prefer to do all the video games (which i don't prefer to do besides) and as long as there is food, they are enormously satisfied. It in basic terms makes the finished element much less formal and extra exciting i think of.
