Ok, I am not going to laugh, because this is a good question... especially if you dye/color your hair!!
If you dye/color your hair, I would suggest using conditioner first, then shampoo then condition again. Also, there is something called "hot oil treatment" you can purchase... you ALWAYS use this BEFORE shampooing or conditioning your hair. If you color your hair, it is good to do the hot oil treatment 2 to 3 times a month. I get a box of 3 tubes for $1.88 at walmart. the brand does not matter. suave is just as good as tresume. It is really easy to use. just put the tube in a glass of HOT water for a few minutes (2 minutes usually does the trick) and then apply to hair, and let sit for 2-5 minutes... it makes your hair really silky, and believe it or not, if you have oily hair, the hot oil treatments help to keep the oil to a minimum for a few weeks. ;)

You can do it this way, conditioner, shampoo, deep conditioning treatment. This will make your hair very silky and was what I did when my hair became dry and brittle from over coloring. I got many complements when I used Matrix deep conditioning treatment...it works wonders.
