If your spouse has a problem a support group might help. (If it was a one time thing OK but if he has a drinking problem. . .than al-anon).
If you are religious, look up the calendars for the local church and start participating. The chaplain will keep your confidence if you want to discuss your situation.
Volunteer at some local association, feeding the hungry or whatever to keep your mind off the situation and remind you things are not as bad as they could be.
Chin up. Keep the faith and good luck to both you and your husband! You'll get past this. . .

I would say get an annulment while he is locked up. Why would you marry a guy who drinks and then gets behind the wheel of a car? How many nights in your marriage are you expecting for him to come home plastered and take things out on you? I would think you can do better than this guy. Don't start a family with this man. Women just don't get it... Most men never get a DUI, Most men have never even been close to seeing jail-time... end this marriage now while you can do it clean and neat!

Find an AlAnon group and find out what kind of life you can expect to live, then go to an attorney and get the divorce papers drawn up to have him sign when he walks out of jail. The fact that he went to jail for DUI indicates it was not the first offense, and probable won't be his last. Do yourself a big favor and cut your loses.

In my opinion, anyone that is stupid enough to drink and drive deserves more then 45 days in jail. Instead of worry about your social life, you should be thinking about your future with such an idiot. You both should be thankful he didn't hurt or kill innocent people, while he was being so reckless. Grow up, smart up and get some help for both of you.

Yeah get in a Church and make some decent friends. He might spend your entire marriage in and out of jail.

45 days is too short a stretch to suggest you bake a cake with a hacksaw blade inside.
So - why don't you catch-up on your reading, practice that golf swing or join a tennis club.
If none of these suggestions are your skillet of grits - sleep a lot.

Join some church or school volunteer activity, look for a job, enroll in vocational school, find a counselor for you and he to go to for his drinking problem after he is out.
