I never take it personally, some people arnt good with keeping track of all the diffrent dates and holidays, especially something like a birthday where you could potentially have tons of people with bdays all on diffrent days and months to keep track of. If it's really important to you it never hurts to casually slip a 'I cant believe my birthday is so close already' into a conversation. I have to make extra effort myself to make sure I get everyone on my calender so I dont forget, many of us lead very busy lives these days and theres just so much going on that its easy to forget something even if you thought about it a few days beforehand.

....see you're trying to make me cry.....People forget my birthday on a regular basis. It crosses my mother's mind after the sun goes down almost every year. My husband always remembers, but his is 11 days after so it's hard to forget. Holidays and things like that just remind me that I don't have any real friends. I've had a mother's day when nobody thought about me. I've had two kids and never had a baby shower(didn't want one with my first, but I really did with my second...they were planning one too and I found out about it, imagine how I felt when the day came and it didn't happen) it's taken me years but I've learned not to take it so hard

lol yes...
My father ( he's a alcoholic by the way ) sent me a pink jacket with flowers on it from Wal-Mart via FedEx this month for my birthday.
Mind you my birthday was in May, I hate pink, and I turned 20.
And he and my mother were married for 22 years before divorcing, so there is no logical reason for him not to know my birthday.
I couldn't even get mad at his stupidity. That was by far the funniest present I have ever received.

My dad forgets my birthday every year, and when I see him sometime afterwards, he throws me $30. I could care less about the money, I would just like a phone call. I call him on his important days.

My birthday has been ignored a few times...too much trouble for my mother. I never had a party until I was 50.

My husband forgot mine once. We were only dating not married. But, he always thinks it's a day later than it really is. I think I have rode is his *** so much over the years that it finally sank in.
