Ok, thank you so far for all these answers. However I know I have to get an adapter to hook it up to the internet. BUT I have been told that you can't connect with AOL and using internet explorer is the only way to go. Can it really be that simple to just hook up the adapter, plug into the dsl modem and go? Don't I have to configure my puter to work with the PS2 and let it connect? Please any help on this?

Ok, I went to a gaming store here on the island, and they told me that they sell the adapter, and we don't need to hook it through my puter and configure anything. I just have to put the disk in the ps2 and save to the memory card. they also told me that when we buy the adapter from them that they have a disk that they loan out for all the customers. And that is all I have to do to get it going.

Thanks everyone for all your answers.

Along with ethernet connector you also need a network access disk. I tried getting one from playstation.com but was unable to.

You do not need to use your computer, get the access disk and the ethernet connector and off you go.
It is nigh on impossible to get the disk. If you get one let me know. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you have to have a special outlet to hook in the network adapter. I see my brother play the PS2 but he doesn't hook it into our router...he hooks it into the wall. Maybe a phone outlet?
