Hi, My goal is to connect CAT5E cables to an optical distribution frame, how can i do this

You have to get a converter box. They're not just real cheap. If I understand what it is you are wanting to do.

I'm not too sure which switch you are looking at but it should work. Remember the basics what goes in must come out, so if it has say one input for the fiber optic and then several RJ45 outputs its going to do the job.

RJ45's are the terminators for the cat 5 cable remember to terminate the connectors correctly and the 8 wires are firmly placed and crimped if you put the wrong wire in the wrong position you will not have correct connection think 8 colour strand blue /green/red/brown/etc if you need twisted pair or pass thru connections make sure its right best to buy pre-made cables it will be worth it not having the aggravation and having to buy the tools too

and just how are you going to get 'light' to go through the wires?(there's a REASON the connectors are different!)
