I'm a white American and my wife is a brown-skin woman from India. Our interpersonal life is great--we've been married 25 years, but we still laugh at others (particularly people in our neighborhood who are from Bangladesh originally--we live in Brooklyn, NY) who look at us like we're freaks. But that's their difficulty, not ours. Also, she's Muslim and I'm not--her family has a problem with that; mine's fine with us--but our love isn't affected or effected by it all. Our friends have no problems and many of them have interracial relationships--Irish and Chinese, for example, and they have kids and are quite happy. I think the world is changing that way for the better.

Yes there are. My husband and I are different races and family gatherings can be prickly at times. We have different customs and different ways of thinking. The biggest issue comes with child rearing from formula vs. breast feeding, breaking the bottle, sleeping in a crib, discipline and teaching children basic skills.

most of them are not so much social i think...
the obvious things are like eating habits; kids fed first/last, now to treat elderly people, what the people around you think about the person you married...

i find the chineese especially snooty if a girl of theirs marries or even goes out with someone from a different race.

were you want to bring your kids up can be an issue, & how you discipline them & how your parents and and your uncle, aunt, fake uncle, uncle's unlaw... discipline's your child.

that's just about it i think!
