I am almost 40 weeks pregnant and ready to have my daughter! Has anyone heard of the pregnancy pizza ?

I have heard of a place in san jose ca that serves a pizza that helps induce labor. I've tried everything and nothing is working! thanks one anxious mommy

With my oldest I did Castor oil but that only works if you've already started labor it helps speed up the process or if you were about to go into labor.

My 2nd I did the evening prime-rose pills you take 1 orally Thur out your pregnancy on the 37 week you take 1 orally and 1 vaginally. 38 2 and 2 39weeks 3 and 3 and you continue with 3 to 3 until you deliver it helps soften your cervix and helps you dilate. Good Luck I also tried the egg plant and wasnt sucessfull

I would exersize daily and have sex as often as possible since the semen does halp you soften your cervixs and have your hubby play with your nipples as it induces labor too

I personally think it's a pretty big deal that the doc was willing to admit that staffing issues would be the reason not to induce around those times. I'm assuming lots of the reg folks take off & then you're left with whomever the hospital can find to take care of the patients. Lots of temps in a situation like that. While they should be qualified there is just something about that situation that would make me uncomfortable. Given your history of complications if I were in your shoes I wouldn't feel so comfortable delivering over that time period either to be honest. Come to think of it, Bryan was born on a Friday and the weekend staff actually came from a neighboring hospital and I didn't see them again at all. That was def different since it was a level II NICU and those nurses worked at the level III up the road but I think you can figure out where I'm going with that, lol. I am surprised he wouldn't induce you on Mon though, surely not everyone is taking an entire week off for the 4th?! I know you're frustrated but at least it's almost over ;) Good Luck!!!!!!!

I beleive that tripple topped itallian sausage pizza might be what you are looking for.

It's the itallian spices in the sausage.
I accidentally discovered it ay 37 weeks.
I am 39 and plan on piggin out as soon as my husband gets home from work (he works far away). When i ate an entire pizza to myself I spent the entire night with contractions that eventually quit.

Its all in the itallian spices.

Actually, I just read something about a place that served eggplant parmesan and a lot of pregnant women went into labor after eating it...

The little blurb said something about it being the spices and not the eggplant...it was oregano and something else...I'll edit and post the link as soon as I find it

when i was overdue with my youngest son i drank 2-3 glasses of artificial red cordial i had labour pains that night and everything was good.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I ONLY TOOK THIS BECAUSE HE WAS OVERDUE OTHER WISE I BELIEVE ARTIFICIAL RED IS BAD FOR HEALTH OF ANYONE. When i had this red cordial before pregnancy it made me miscarry / brought on the monthly cycle.

I have a friend with recipe for a salad that she swears by. She and her sister both went into labor after eating. I think it had feta cheese (which your not even supposed to have when you are PG), fresh dill and garlic stuffed olives in it.
