Pregnancy symptoms differ from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy; however, one of the most significant pregnancy symptoms is a delayed or missed menstrual cycle. Understanding pregnancy symptoms is important because each symptom may be related to something other than pregnancy. Some women experience pregnancy symptoms within a week of conception. For other women, symptoms may develop over a few weeks or may not be present at all. Below is a listing of some of the most common pregnancy symptoms.

Implantation Bleeding:
Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Other Explanations: Actual menstruation, altered menstruation, changes in birth control pill, infection, or abrasion from intercourse.

Delay/Difference in Menstruation:
A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period. This symptom is commonly explained by other reasons. If you have been sexually active and have missed a period, it is recommended that you take a test

congratulations. if i were you i would go to a clinic or a doctor to take another test just to make sure. and if you are they will may be able to tell you how far along you are and when your baby is do. relax. dont over exert yourself. and only tell a lot of people when you a positive that you are pregnant. and if you are truly pregnant find a good doctor that you are comfortable with. make sure you make all of your appointments. and eat healthy the baby eats what you eat. eat more but more healthy food. and once you start gaining wait dont wear the tight pants that you cant zip up. buy some maternity clothes. you can get some a motherhood.com and old navy has some very cute clothes. and remember to rub cocoa butter or vitamin e e oil on you stomach all day so you wont get stretch marks. good luck. i just had my baby 3 months ago so it is still all new to me. but i can guarantee that when you see you childs for the fist time it will be the happiest day of you life. once again congratulations.

You probably get mean and nasty remarks because you decided to come on to yahoo answers and ask if you're pregnant, like so many other "women" do. Get's really tiring after a while seeing the same post, just written a bit differerently.

Not to mention, I don't really undestand why people seem to think that the yahoo answers community cares about their situation... this is a place for answering and asking questions, not an announcement board. While I don't have to read the questions, I often times find myself clicking on them just hoping for once that it's a real question. I really don't care who misses their periods, or finding out that the person asking the question is too dumb to figure out that they need to go to the doctor...

Sorry, not trying to be rude to you in particular, but I am tellin ya, it gets old.

Congrats to you!

Be sure and call your doc so you can go in for a blood test as soon as you can. They'll be able to tell for sure that you are pregnant and that your HCG levels are increasing as they should!

Happy and healthy nine months to you!
