For those who don't know turm it's the two dots over a u. Friend said it was possible.

go in word to insert -->symbol and find the symbol on the grid!

To have a dual Keyboard, US and Germany, just go to Control Panel, Regional and Language, and go to Languages tab, click Details, and Add Germany to Installed services. Then you can switch to German keyboard pressing a combination - LEFT Alt+ CTRL (you'll find this on the Key Settings button on that page). Succes - it's simple.

You press the inverted commas, that's upper case next key to the enter key in the same row. Then, without pressing space, type the u, o or a. So you get ü, ä or ö.

In Word and other Office programs, type Ctrl+Shift+:, then type a u. Elsewhere, Alt+0252.

you may need to use the pull down menu from hear to pick a font and Arial has them and is easy to read

It's your editor that we need the name of, not your operating system. So, I can't answer that except to say it depends on what editor you are using.
