Some flippin' friend. Anyway, you should have offered £20 as a three way split, not £30. So if I were you, I'd either ask for a tenner back, or if you are like me and a bit of wimp, why not invite them out to dinner with you, and then ask her for half of the total amount of the bill at the end of the evening.
With friends like that, you sure don't need to worry about enemies, hon!

that is disgraceful behaviour.
your first mistake was to offer half and not a third of the bill. surely you owed £20? if the bill were £200 would you have paid £100?
secondly, your friend is being a cheap skate by taking your money. you should ditch her and find a new friend.

Don't let people walk all over like that dude she totally ripped you off. She should not have done that i'd get that 30 quid back man. Naaah seriously you should talk to her bout that tell her you did not think that was very decent thing to do say that you'd like the money back if she acts like a nob over it then move on dude!!

To me it's sounds as if your friend is a little selfish. Look more closely looks and some actions can fool u. Until u see if she would so the same for u. Give her a small test of needing something very small and check it out.

It may have been funny, but it was definitely rude. I don't know your background, but if she feels that you have plenty of money (or at least more than she does) then she may have felt that since you were willing to spend it, she might as well take it.
Alternative: she knew her boyfriend needed the 30, but didn't want to be rude. She didn't want to make him feel awkward so she took it instead to give it to him later.

the person who did this has no morals, you used a little thing called human decency and respect, when you offered to pay half the bill, but she clearly has no manners and needs to be told so

Cor! From what I heard about your friend you should drop her fast forget what I said about her on the other question, (presuming we are talking about the same friend) friends DO NOT take your money! They'd more likely lend you theirs! She's selfish and that's not what true friends are about.
