Either the wood has swollen from the rain or your foundation has shifted slightly. Try lifting up or pushing down on the knob when you are turning it. The same happened to my front door when the foundation shifted from the recent drought. Once you get it open, you can adjust the strike or the hole for the dead bolt. I had to grind mine out with a drill so the dead bolt would seat properly.

Get an electrical extension and use your hairdrier on the lock, both inside & out.. squirt oil into it and keep trying.
I am assuming it is not a Yale type.

Forget WD40. Try Break Free.
http://www.break-free.com/
Then use Lock Ease to prevent further problems.

Try closing it next time you go away. Don't just lock it and foget to shut it. Meanwhile try the right key you may get somewhere.

There are quite a few sites available showing all sorts of DIY.
I even found a step by step photo explaination for my husband so that he could fix our cars climate control.
Good luck (And I thought WD40 fixed EVERYTHING!)

Put some heat on for awhile and use the front door. The heat should dry out, shrink back to normal, and it should be good as new.
