Naaaaa, E. Coli is so common is ordinary soil. I mean, natural fertilizer (poo) is riddled with E. Coli.
You have a good point though about our food supplies becoming terrorist hotspots!

I eat at least one bunch of leafy greens a day and have had two bunches of spinach today. I can tell you first hand the negatives. 1. Your poop will take on a green tinge if you haven't worked up to this much. 2. You will find yourself full for longer periods, maybe not a negative for some but I like food!

I heard Glen Beck espouse this theory last night on HNN....in our current environment, how could we not at least investigate it from that perspective? Now there's e coli lettuce out there too, and the infected food seems to all be coming from one area in CA.
Infecting food supplies is not that difficult, and in the light of our scare from anthrax in letters a few years back, you would think it would be checked out. Makes you wonder what some people know about this that the general public doesn't.

No, I don't think ANYBODY thinks that . The world is a big complicated place---don't try to make everything fit a single pattern. When I was a teen-ager, we didn't talk about "terrorism"---at that time, everything bad that happened was supposedly a "Communist plot". People are always trying to identify a "devil" they can blame things on. Sometimes, it's just an accident or general incompetence.

it's not very likely. while disruptive, it's not as 'splashy' as the kind of thing terrorists want to do. they want 'big' events that catch attention and scare a lot of people. having fresh spinach missing from the grocery store for a few weeks doesn't really cause people to hide under the table in a fetal position...

No proof to indicate that. Last I heard they had traced the germs to a cattle ranch about a mile away. Something weird happened but evidently not terrorism.

I did actually. But then again the whole mad cow could be as well and we were just quick to stop it.
Who said terrorism had to cause large amounts of deaths. they could just be a handful.

No. That conspiracy theory didn't cross my desk. I believe its just poor management of the local farming there. More testing will help prior to shipment of goods.
