All I will say is do it, never mind if you ma doesn;t like it you are your own person. Hell i couldn't tell you why we all celebrate Halloween but all i will say is that i look at it as a time when we can all have a wee bit of fun dress up. just go for it. when i was growing up my ma and pa didn;t really like Halloween and would turn the lights off and not answer the door but when i got to a teen i decided sod it i would go trick or treating with my mate and loved it. i am now a grown up with two kids one a teenager and my youngest is 9, i decorate our house and garden for some fun and my eldest stays at home giving out the sweets to the visitors while i take my youngest out dressed up and then when we get back my eldest and her friends go out for a wee while trick or treating. you dont have to believe or know you can just have fun. so once again go for it.

Well it depends in some places you can't wear a mask on Halloween if you're over the age of 12 unless you're at a halloween party.

I started a new tradition kick back with a brandy put the fire on and watch live ghost hunts on tv. This year i may do the Most Haunted drinking game.

I usually take vacation during the week of Halloween as it is my favorite holiday.

Go with your cousin! Wear a wild, cool costume, have fun, talk to the people whose houses you visit, and be sure to say "Thank you! Happy Hallowe'en!" when you leave.

It can also be fun to go with a group of other friends about your own age -- I love it when groups show up at our house, and since we have kids in elementary school and high school, there's a good chance we know at least one of the kids in almost every group. (Now, WE have the coolest house on the block -- thirteen skeletons in various positions, a graveyard at the sidewalk, four separate blacklights and a fog machine... and more goodies to come before the Big Night.) So by the time the kids make it up the dark, dark stairs to our door (where two of the skeletons are hanging), they are really in the mood!

Go trick or treating!!! Go with your cousin and have fun!!
You're obviously old enough to go on your own, I've seen lots of teenagers and adults dressed up out there!! It's never too late!
I hope you get a lot of candy!! Enjoy!!

Trick or treat for Unicef, or bring a wagon and collect canned goods for the local food bank. You'll get to go out and you'll be doing good for others, too.

When older kids come around doing this, I feel nothing but admiration for them. They get to have a good time doing a good thing.

You should obey your mother and be happy she cares enough to give you such excellent direction to your life. She loves you and wants what is best for you. You may not realize that until you have children yourself.

Halloween is a holiday that has a lot of very negative activities and beliefs connected to it. It may be the worst one to celebrate in any way. Surely you can be happy with out it.

Trust you mother. She is right to protect you from Halloween and all that is connected to that day. Just because many other people celebrate on that day does not mean it is the best thing to do.

See if your mom will let you go with cousin or have a friend over and rent some scary movie, if you are old enough.
