For example, just today:

FONTANA, Calif. - A fight between two high school students erupted into a riot of 500 people, prompting officers to fire bean bags and rubber pellets to scatter the crowd, police said. No major injuries were reported.

About 100 officers rushed to Fontana High School after students threw rocks and bottles at other officers and one another, according to Fontana police Sgt. Doug Wagner.

there has always been alot of violence in schools. the violence in schools is just getting alot of publicity it seems like...plus elections are right around the corner and some grimey politician is going to stand up and say "im going to put and end to highschool riots" the question is how do we fix the violence in the world? and that starts in the home!

Because a lot of kids, not all of them, but a lot are stupid, spoiled, brats. They never learn how to settle an argument without being violent. The students were throwing rocks. That is so immature. All those kids should have been arrested for throwing rocks at police officers.

Bottom line... Kids are NOT being taught any respect for authority; or anyone else for that matter. Its "Me, Me, Me." (This certainly does not explain Pennsylvania a week or so ago though.)
Folks find a lot of fault with religious teachings now-a-days, but at least that taught us to consider the 'other' rather than just ourselves.

Personally, I think it is the lack of discipline...The past couple of decades there has been an erosion in the discipline capacity that society is willing to give both to the parents and schools.

I don't know why. The ironic thing about the recent school shootings is that half of these have been done by adults. More people were killed by the adult than the kids.

It starts at home parents arent teaching proper edicate and letting kids run their own lives before they are ready to.

Because they took prayer out of schools. Every since they took prayer out of schools there has been more violence.
