There are more outlets for expression at this time, but unfortunately the technology to exclude and edit is expanding almost as fast. Our society like all societies goes through periods of more repression and less repression. Times when thought will be allowed more freedom will come again. In regards to your question as bad as it is now it was worse in the 18th century.

The Marquis de Sade was censored for excessive sexual content and torture. Why are you being censored?
Are you truly being censored or are people simply choosing not to hear you? Either way you need to take a good look at why you are being censored and decide whether it is worth the battle.

I couldn't care less about Marquis De Sade. He was worthless. You shouldn't be, though. You're not hurting anyone or preaching dangerous opinions. This world is losing it's sense of logic: don't ban Beavis and Butthead!

I feel your pain, Beavis! I, too, am constantly being censored herein for having real, solid opinions which often clash with those of the mindless, liberal, politically correct majority. Freedom of speech, my a*ss!

Free? Who's free?
There's so many laws, regulations, licences, fees etc.
Isn't there a five second censorship delay on live television broadcasts?
From what I understand Democracy is just Socialism misspelled!
