So far, everyone has made a fundamental mistake. Very few of the words listed are good rhymes for "hello".
Ordinarily, when we talk about "rhyme" we begin with "perfect rhyme", which is defined as follows:
"Rhyme in which the final accented vowel and all succeeding consonants or syllables are identical, while the preceding consonants are different, for example, great, late; rider, beside her; dutiful, unbeautiful. Also called full rhyme, true rhyme."
http://www.bartleby.com/61/83/P0188300.html
So, looking at "hello", we see that the LAST syllable has the accent; thus the 'final accented vowel" is the O. So to rhyme with "hello" all you have to do is find a word or phrase that ends with a long O which is ACCENTED. There are MANY such words and phrases. BUT, in a words like "fellow" the accent is on the FIRST syllable., so actually, none of these '-ellow' words is a proper rhyme!!
What would work:
1) ANY one-syllable word ending with the O sound (since that syllable would obviously be accented!) is a potential rhyme
2) For two-syllable words and expressions-- as noted above the "-ellow" words do NOT work, but ANY word that ends with an accented O-sound would work (the preceding consonants do not matter). So you could the following:
bestow, below, Thoreau, you know
and MANY more.
In fact, for a list of words that will work, look at the following page, which begins with 139 one-syllable, 264 two-syllable, and 50 three-syllable words and phrases!
