You could try KaZaA. It works pretty well, the only thing I'd warn you about are the ads that come with the free download. You can get around these if you have a compatible spy/ad-ware program installed such as Spybot or Windows Defender. Actually paying for the software would give additional features and completely eliminate the ad 'inconveniences'.
Here are the links:
KaZaA (free):
http://kazaa.com/us/index.htm
KaZaA Plus (must be purchased)
http://www.kazaa.com/us/plus/download.html
Hope this helps :).

Well, I have to say limewire. I have just over 7000 mp3's from that site and in the 5 years of downloading, I have never had a problem yet. Unlike that Kazaa crapola BS software that had Adware and everything else.

One you can really trust is emule.....and not only for songs or videoclips.....but also for movies, series, computer programs, ebooks, documents, pix.....you name it. Go to www.emule.com and download-install it. It is free. Just be careful when downloading drivers (if you do) because some people include viruses in them. Although, if you have a good antivirus, like AVAST, then it shouldnt be a problem! ;-)
