Remote access software?

Need a software package to access (with permission) other computers, (win 98, ME, 2000, XP, etc)., similar to that used by Geek Squad, Verizon, etc. to fix computer problems remotely! Must be very reliable.

VNC as mentioned is the way to go. ultravnc is the best implementation in my opinion. it's also possible to build a custom installer, that you can put on a webpage, and allow the other person to download. when they run it, it opens a session for you, and when closed, it uninstalls itself. very, very handy.

well i use winvnc or pcanywhere or even the build msn messenger.
