not....the possibilities and the probabilities create an atmosphere that i do not enjoy, so i just don't gamble, it's not worth my energy.

Depends...some games have better odds than others.
I've lived in Las Vegas for three years, and I'm hardly a regular at any casino. There's a reason the casinos and corner pubs in this town stay open, the odds...over time...are stacked against the player.
However, short term wins, if the player knows when to stop, and the player insists on playing sober, can happen.
When I play Blackjack, its short term. I watch a game for a few minutes, look how the cards are being dealt, and then I'll jump in for a few hands at a $5/minimum table. If I play $5, and win, I'll let it ride, multiplying my winnings. I get up after 5 hands winning or not. The best I'll do is walk away with $160 on a $5 wager. Not bad for about two minutes work.
Craps, if you have the time, has better odds for winning. You can camp out on a craps table for hours and walk away with a lot of money if you play your bets safe.
State lotteries, though...stay away.

I like to gamble but in a controlled way - I am the dealer (ie for church festivals). I get the fun of playing, but I don't lose my own money.

Only on a very limited basis. Only been to a Casino three times and only took in small sums of money. Not a habit I'd like to aquire. It's more fun to just watch every thing going on!

I don't do it just because I feel I am just losing my money. I don't have a problem with it unless someone is using up all their money doing it. My husband love to do it and he has won big a few times.

for me life is gamble enough everyday, don't need to to go loose what I've worked to gain, but for those that do, have fun and wish them luck

I like video poker, at least it's a game, unlike slot machines.
I do limit the amount I spend.
