As one who went through high school with a small bladder, and has also been a substitute teacher, I'm totally with you about the time between classes not being long enough. You can at LEAST try to make a point to pee during your lunch hour though... you should be able to spare a minute or two to do it then... and that will at least cut your holding time from 8 hours to 4, which should make a big difference. Public restrooms aren't the most appetizing places, but just suck it up and do it -- there really aren't any diseases you can get from a public toilet seat, and even if you're just too grossed out by it, you can put toilet paper down on the seat or just try and "hover" (myself, I'm a guy so I have an easier time of things on that end... but that's what my g/f says). That will be much better for you in the long run than the effects of stretching your bladder out for 8 hours every day... unless you have just a super large and strong bladder, that will eventually weaken your bladder over time. (Plus, it must be really hard for you to concentrate in your afternoon classes with your bladder that full!) If you go during lunch, though, assuming you're a healthy teenager with a normal-sized and healthy bladder, holding it for 4 hours shouldn't be too difficult or cause any long term problems. I hope this helps you, good luck!

Refusing to let you use the bathroom is inappropriate and should be reported to regulatory authorities. For some with medical conditions, this could also be considered illegal discrimination. Three minutes to change classes is absurd, unless you have about a six room school.
It is an incredibly bad idea to hold your urine all day. As for the restrooms, it's easy enough to carry a small bottle of alcohol gel sanitizer and some paper seat covers, so that's not much of an excuse. Not only that, but filthy bathrooms also likely violate city health codes and should be reported and cleaned up. If there is a parent-teacher organization in your school, this should be addressed. Surely your parents don't approve of this unhealthy situation.
Holding your urine for many hours probably also means you are restricting your fluid intact to avoid having to go and that's not good for you. If you have gym or sports, you may be at risk of serious dehydration. The longer that urine stays in your bladder, you also increase your chances of an infection in your urinary tract. Not changing a pad or tampon all day also poses an infection (not to mention irritiation and odor) problem during your period.
Please try to enlist your parents help to make this situation better and healthier. If need be, contact the local media and let them know about inhumane and unhealty treatment.
Finally, you may just need to assert yourself when told to wait. Say politely but urgently "I can't wait until the next class. If I could I would have waited until then. I need to leave now or I might have an accident that would disrupt class." A teacher who refuses that should be fired.

Not only could you damage your bladder, ureters and kidneys, but eventually you might weaken the muscles that help you to hold your urine, leading to urinary incontinence.
Another problem is that, while you may not realize it, you're probably not drinking as much fluids as you should be, so that you don't have to urinate as often. In doing so, you're depriving your body of necessary fluid intake to heal, think, breathe, even make your heart beat efficiently. If you don't drink adequate fluids in an attempt to not have to go to the bathroom, you're just perpetuating dehydration.
The best think you can do is make sure you urinate just before you leave for school, then at every single break you get. BTW, while the teachers & principal don't "like" you to leave their class, in not doing so, they're violating your basic human rights by not allowing you access to a restroom when you need one.
I understand about cleanliness issues...bring a small packet of toilet seat protectors (available at most large drug stores).

You should not hold on going to the toilet.
Unfortunately it is common practice for schools to make student 's go to the loo in "their (student's) time" and must be at lunch or recess. But holding on can and does cause infections of the bladder or kidney, as the bacteria builds up, it starts a nasty infection.
Have a chat to your student representative or student body, as this not just effecting you but every other student in the school.
Or have you or your mum chat to the school student councillor, or student welfare officer.
My daughter had a similar problem, and kept getting infections from holding on, (she now has a enlarged kidney) so I had our GP write a letter explaining that my daughter was not to wait if she needed to go, and I also spoke to the student welfare officer, about this very unrealistic rule. It seamed that half a dozen girls all had recurring bladder/kidney infections, so it had to be addressed. (might have some thing with me telling the girls parents how I dealt with my daughters problem)
Solution was students were not allowed out with in the first half hour of coming into class, or the last ten minutes of class. Students were given a pass, but must go by them-self and a time limit of 5 minutes, and must go to the closest toilet to the class.
Not sure it these tips will help but it might be worth a try.
Good luck!

This is weird...I thought I was the only one who did that. But I am now 24 years old. When I was in high school I never used the bathrooms or any public restroom for that matter, and I have started this thing where, (like one person has already said above), like a urine drip...it drips and you cannot control it...not alot but one drop too many...lol it weakens your bladder wall...eventually if you do it for so long you will have to carry around a bag of urine! YUCK! also my teacher told me (first time ever asking to use the restroom in school...I really had to go and used the squatting method) that I could not go I said I have to go to the bathroom and he still said no even after I said that this was the first time ever asking and he said no...so I got up and left! he sent me to the principals office but I had to go damn teacher!

It is not the best. While we can hold urine for that long, it is best released. This means you are not drinking much of anything, and that can allow a blockage of waste materials from our cells. While it might not seem to be doing anything, over time it might cause problems.
Check out something call "The Whiz" or a "urine director". This device would allow you to go to the girl's restroom, but go standing up like a boy. This might help with the hygiene issues (I understand - some restrooms are horrid - and your parents should complain to the school).

You probably shouldn't. I know exactly how you feel. That's how it is in my school. When you hold it for so long, it makes your bladder drop over time. When you get older, you can't hold it anymore because your bladder is so far down. So, if you hold it for so long now, when you get older (30's or so) you won't be able to at all. As soon as it feels like there's a little pressure, you wet your pants. If you do it now, you'll only be able to hold it for an hour or so when you're older before you have an accident.

It can lead to Urinary Tract Infection in the form of Cystitis, Urethritis, Pyelitis, pyelonephritis. Also long standing bladder distention can make your urinary bladder wall become weak, leading to instability. So, it is not a good idea to retain urine for 6-8 hours, unless it is absolutely essential.

The bladder is fairly elastic. continued stretching beyond its limits will weaken it considerably.. What is wrong with between classes? Is the usual time for such matters. You don't need to spend that 5 minutes or so just catching up on the latest.
