could anyone advise me if this is correct Game Stores Ltd. refused to give money back as my wife opened up the pack and charged the batteries for me, they say unopened 28 day guarantee, otherwise trade it in, what do you think is this a `bum` deal?

I used to work for Comet and they have a similar returns rule, but they give you a leaflet that explains their returns policy. Was the unopened policy on the receipt or any attached paperwork? Or displayed in store? If not then take it back again and speak to the manager explaining you where not told about the policy. If all else fails stand outside the store and give out fliers explaining what the store is doing to you. When they start losing customers the manager will soon back down.

Well yes.. it is a bum deal, but it is Games Policy, they cannot re-sell the PSP on to someone else if the seal on the box has been opened.

If you are going to trade it in you should check different stores to see how much you'll get for it, like Gamestation, Game and any other stores near you that do trade-ins.
