Are you sure it's the sound card causing the beeps?

*You can try reinstalling the card physically:

-take out other extra PCI cards and start with just the sound card in; then start up. If sound card is sucessful, add back the other
cards.
It is possible that your sound card may be incompatible with other cards. You can discover which by only re-adding the other cards and booting, etc, one at a time.

-Also try moving the sound card in a different slot

The beeps may be for something else that that got knocked loose. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NOT LOOSENED THE MEMORY OR OTHER COMPUTER PART WHEN YOU WERE WORKING INSIDE

-Does your motherboard have sound built-in onboard already? If so, you should go onto the BIOS and disable the onboard sound.

*You can also try just uninstalling and reinstalling the driver software- just go into the device manger and delete the sound card. On next bootup windows will find it again and reinstall the drivers.

To get to device manager:
right click on "my computer"> choose properties >
>choose "Hardware" tab> select "device manager" button
> go to "sound, video, and game controllers", and delete the sound card-with-name. Then restart the computer.

Good Luck!

Go to Control Panel => System => Hardware => Device Manager. Under "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" you should see your sound card listed. Right-click it and select Uninstall. Now reboot. Insert the installation CD that came with your soundcard, and run the install software.

You want to "Re-Install" your sound-card driver not your sound card LOL ;-)

Select "START" on your desktop toolbar (usually at the bottom left)

Select "Performance and Maintenance"

Select "System"

Select "Hardware"

Select "Device Manager"

Select "Sound Video and Game Controllers"

Make sure that all the "devices" listed are working properly.

If one is not then you need to "click" on it and Select "Re-install Driver"

Good Luck Pal ;-)
