kissmybum, yes you are protected by Yahoo, but with certain issues Yahoo will not deal with it.People should be going to Yahoo first if they don't do anything than go to that website. I'm only offering advice for people that are being abused.

I too work in the legal field....and as far as abuse goes, I'm not sure what you are talking about?
If it's racist OR nasty comments you are speaking of..sorry but that's NOT illegal. May be in poor taste...but it's not illegal. You are protected under our first admendment rights(Yahoo is a US company).
Making threats IS illegal..some forms of harassment(re: the internet) is or can be illegal...spreading rumors or personal attacks(towards an actual person) could be construed that way also...but ppl do not usually use their real names( or I hope they wouldn't).....what will you do?..have their avatar sue them?...lol.
Spend your time chasing internet pedophiles!
Spend your time and energy trying to change the laws re: that....remember possesion of kiddie porn is only a misdomeaner!

I acknowledge the fact that there has been some Internet abuse in this category, but doubt that it will be solved simply because the victim has visited a particular site.
As for the site "dealing with the government", I understand that many of the participants in this category are from countries other than the United States... yet the link you provided is from the Government of the United States, hence the ".gov" domain.

there has been some racist and rude comments lately. there was a question about if kaka was a muslim or not, and someone said a very RUDE comment about islam. i dont like being offended.
