First i would go to my kids, to make sure they were safe..esp. if it were night and the burglar woke me. Then i would phone the police. I usually have my mobile close by so could prob do it with out the burgler hearing me. However if i was face to face with him/her i don't know. run and shut door on them????

I am a black belt in Karate, so if he didn't have a gun I would take him on. Once I had dealt with the immediate threat I would check my family and ensure he did not have a partner.
I would then either phone the police, or if he did have the partner, attempt to take him out.

I would try to not have him notice me, and then i would call 911. If it can get past my dogs, I'd give him an A+. And for extra credit, the Winchester. It's not that easy to pass my class!
