No, although I have heard if you have sex shortly before ovulating, you could be more likely to have a girl. This is due to the fact that the male sperm are faster, but live shorter lives and they would get held up in the mucous, while the females, whom live longer, but are slower, would get through because by the time they get there, the secretions are much thinner.

There is NO guarantee. It's the ovum that decides which sperm will enter the egg....if it's the chromosome meant for a male fetus, the baby will be male..and vice-versa.
By the way....artificial insemination will not guarantee the sex of the child either. What it all boils down to...it's really a crap shoot.

No it is a 50, 50 chance, plus it is the guys sperm that determines the sex.

Even though there are books and kits you can buy that "guarantee" the sex of the baby there is really no proven method.

There are many sites but no one to really guarantee nothing. Only hijosalacarta.tripod.com really guarantee to obtain the gender you want for your future baby boy or girl.
