This is becoming a bad Hee Haw episode. Is Bush now saying of course we could change the course. Why didn't we ask sooner? Why weren't you people my patriotic and spoke up against the war?

You can't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. He has no clue about what is going on or even what he is saying:

George W. Bush is a moron. His handlers tell him what to do, how to act, and what to say. He's coached - and when he's not, he's in trouble (like the day he sat in a classroom on 9-11-01 and had no clue as to what to do because he hadn't been prepared for it).
Bush. Cheney and Rumsfeld are the most evil, incompetent, corrupt, contemptible, arrogant circle jerks ever to occupy the White House. The current U.S. Congress is the most corrupt, incompetent, contemptible, cowardly, arrogant, repulsive body ever to occupy the Capitol Building in U.S. history. They all deserve to be tried for high treason, then tried in an international tribunal for crimes against humanity. If convicted, they all should face a public firing squad. Surely Satan has reserved a special oil-soaked corner of hell for these bastards. -RKO-

Bush understands that you have to adapt or die.
If the terrorists change their strategy, we need to change to counter them.
Anyone that thinks you have to stick to the original plan at all costs is a fool.
