She should have gotten married pregnant, so at least her child could have been born to a married couple. but why do people sometimes just think of themselves? i'm sure the reason she didn't get married was because she wanted to have the wedding of her dreams, and be able to look absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. hellooo, is she not thinking of her daughter?

Ideally, sure... they could have gotten married. But, there are a lot of children born out of wedlock. I think the most important thing is that the child was born to two loving parents. I don't really think a piece of paper makes much difference in that. Besides... maybe she's just buying a little time, because Tom Cruise is a little nutty.

I doubt very much Katie Holmes daughter will be the least bit affected by her parent's not being married before she was born. Like it or not, it's pretty common these days to have a child and not be married! Kids are just not teased or affected by this anymore. People just don't look at it being a big deal these days.

Umm are you from the stone age. So what if the child was born out of wedlock. Whats important is that the parents recognize it as theirs and its healthy!!!

I think having celebrities as parents will screw her up more than being born out of wedlock would.
