My daughter place her foot on the table & this pc hanged !!!
I rebooted the machine & now, it's gone.
The situation is:
1. No POST, nothing on monitor
2. No Beeps
3. I hear 3 Beeps when I remove the RAM
4. Power LED, HDD LED, motherboard & network LEDs : ON
5. Fans: working
6. sequences though usual CD, floppy, HDD (possibly) cycle ..

It's a D845EPT2 motherboard with a P4 & a 300W suppy.

What's gone wrong here ?
Do you know a good forum where i can seek answers

The video card is either dead, or overheated. Try cleaning the fan on the video card and checking that it's in all the way.

This looks like just a monitor problem - e.g., I can turn on the computer and everything is quite fine, even if I forget to turn the monitor on, lol. Once I turn the monitor on, I get the display of the desktop. So check the monitor connection to the video card, and if needed, go in and re-seat the video card if the video is not built in.

Make sure that the screen is on (that it has power) and try reconnecting the cable that connects the PC to the screen. I think that it was praised loose.
My hint: if any hardware wase really damaged there would most certainly be beeps to indicate that something is wrong, just like when you removed the RAM and the setup program was looking for it.
