I don't have remedies, but I suggest that you find a book that really captures your interest and put it aside for when you are bored.
Or call a friend and see if they wanna go somewhere or just to chat.
And if your friend isn't very busy, You can take turn asking random questions that make no sense. That keeps me entertained for several minutes after my friend and I hangup.
You could also doodle and do hard puzzles, like make a list of (a number) words that starts with a hard letter, like Z or X. Or write a poem or something about your boredom.

A walk, go to the park, a movie (either theatre or rent one), take a drive, shopping, go to a restaurant, visit with a friend, walk the dog (if you have one), visit a mueseum, go swimming, ride a bike, take a class on something that interests you, bake a cake, learn to cook, etc.

Play "Shadow".
Find a victim like a sister, brother, pet basically any living thing that is concience of your existance ... then do everything they do - say everything they say - and watch them at first be slightly annoyed, then get panicked when you refuse to stop ... ah, it's hard to stop laughing when THEY freak out.
