Check ebay, half.com, etc. If you want a new ipod, I would suggest the 250mb ipod shuffle. its only $50, if you buy it at the right time. My 11 year old has one, and she loves it. My sister and her husband got it for her on her birthday. It makes her feel grown up, and its actually made her much more responsible.

ipod shuffle. i have one. even though its small. i payed 100 dollars when it first came out. and now it cost like 75.00 dollars. it holds up to 250 songs.
