Ah yes... The "Ebonics" Trend, The "Jerry Springer" Trailerpark Dialect, The I'll-Type-Like-I-Text Lifestylers !!

It certainly isn't a "new" trend... Oakland California was seeking to have "Ebonics" recognized for it's students... suggesting that English was their second language !!

Then there's the Jive talk of the 1940's Jitter-bugging Teens and the Zoot Suiters. It's been around the USA forever... Probably started with one of Thomas Jefferson's children mocking their father:

It drives me nuts, but then again I read a paperback every other day, and try to put away a text book a month.

Because people are getting dumber, so we have to dumb things down more and more.

It's called reaching to the lowest common denominator of society.
