I'm not expert on sports, so I was wondering if this alters his ability to win the hiesman trophy this year?

I would think his Heisman hopes ended today. Hopefully, he will fully regain his outstanding form if he is able to return this season. His future as a pro still appears bright and many commentators seem to think he will turn pro next year. He should be drafted very early in the draft with the fantastic package of speed and toughness he showed at OU.

Peterson wasn't going to win it in the first place. It's gonna be Troy Smith at Ohio State. Just look at the stats, 101-148 for 1261 yards and 15 touchdowns and only 2 picks. He's on the number 1 team in the nation. If he keeps playing like he has, there should be no question.

imposible for someone to get injured for a long term like it is right now and win the hiesman.

No chance. He wasn't even the front runner going into the game today. The Heisman winner needs to be there with big time performances in big time games. Can't win it from the bench.

yes...because now, the people that were right behind him in the heisman race can continue to pile up their stats while adrian peterson is stuck at the same numbers for the rest of the season.

definately alters his chances but he is still in the running and will be a 1st round pick in the NFL.

no hes done but sooner website he stated he would only "not "enter draft this year if he had a major injury well see if hes true to his word but my sooner could be in trouble now withou thim
