1) no, we have our own atom bomb ( which is all they respect) and can stand up to them. So can France, China, North Korea, India , Pakistan and Russia.
2) I don't think we will have to wait too long now. The americans find bush just as embarrassing as WE do, nowadays.

Yes America is an imperial power but it is probably the only imperial power that has people actively buying into it. I've never seen troops holding guns to peoples heads as they are forced to eat macdonalds or watch hollywood movies.
