Poisonous? No!
Aggressive? Yes! They're always aggressive to their prey, and if you upset an adult male he might put on a show of being aggressive to you by curling his abdomen up like a scorpion, and spreading his wings to make himself look big! The younger males just do the 'scorpion tail' thing with their abdomen! They're really cute actually, so the 'threatening' act doesn't work on humans!!
Bite humans? Rarely! If you can convince a REALLY hungry mantis that part of your body is a bug, they might just attack it and take a bite! But that's your own fault really, because it's not EASY to convince a mantis that a finger is a caterpillar!
; )
(However, once they DO start biting they don't stop until they've taken a small chunk off! So watch out!)

Praying Mantis! > Camouflage
The praying mantis is a master of disguise. It can hide in plain sight. Its color and shape let the praying mantis disappear among the leaves and twigs that it lives on. Is it hiding from its prey or from its predators? Or both? The praying mantis waits for its prey to come very close, about 4 inches away, and then instantly catches it. The strike takes 50 thousandths of a second - quicker than our eyes can see. If an insect saw the cunning mantis, it wouldn't come so near.
Its camouflage is also a defense against predators. Birds, lizards and snakes will eat a praying mantis, but if they don't see it they won't eat it. If a mantis is attacked, it can't run away very fast. It isn't poisonous. It has one last defense. It stands up on its back legs and spreads its wings, trying to look larger than it is. This is called a "startle display." If that doesn't scare away the predator, it is eaten.

Poisonous? No.
Aggressive? Toward their prey. If you push your finger toward a praying mantis, it'll try to get away.
Can they bite humans? None that I've ever seen has tried.

No. And they are also an endangered species under the law in most places, so be aware that if you deliberately harm one, you will face a stiff fine and possible jail time!
