Mr. clean magic eraser .. it works..

This isn't a "home remedy", but, I use a product called "Goo Gone" for stuff like this. It WORKS. You can buy it in WalMart, etc., it's not expensive, find it in the hardware department.

Put a small amount of the product (it's a yellow liquid) on a soft cloth or paper towel. You only need a small amount. Gently rub over the spot(s) you are trying to remove. It should come right off. Make sure you wash your hands afterwards, as the product is a little oily and has a pretty strong citrus smell. Don't get it near your eyes.

This is one of the few products out there that I have found that actually does what it says it's gonna do. It's also the best thing I've ever found for removing sticky labels from things. Good luck!

The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is what you want. Only important thing to keep in mind is that "the eraser" IS abrasive so make sure to rub the crayon off without applying too much pressure. If you rub too hard in one spot it will start to take off the paint from your wall.

goof off or tar and bug remover...they are both essentially low power mineral spirits...they wont damage the paint, but they might make a stain of their own, since they are petroleum based.

Toothbrush, use a little water.

You can try some alcohol too depending on what type of paint you have.
