Depending on what you want to know I gave you some general links below. I think the best understanding of MAsonrt is the true ancient form. Yes they do itthe same now and call it ancient but things have changed. We must recognize why they were underground and what the studies involved. The problem today you have zealot anti masonic articles or you have people sticking up for masonry that say its just making good men better. Which is true but there are some very deep symbolic teachings there as well.

The best place to find information about Freemasonry is to ask a Mason. You can do this by contacting your local lodge and simply asking how to find the information. If you are more interested in reading about the history of Freemasonry, you could try reading the following:

American Freemasons by Mark A. Tabbert
that book is a factual account of all things Masonic and is written by a prominent American Freemason with help from several friends of mine.

Masonic history may also be traced further back than the American Freemasons book goes, and if you are interested in these theories, a good place to start is The Hiram Key by Christopher Knight and Robert Lomas. While their conclusions are questionable at times, they have done quite a bit of research on the subject, and are Freemasons as well.

Bottom line, there are still hundreds of thousands of us around. We aren't extinct, and new members are joining every day, so feel free to ask. Freemasons enjoy talking about Freemasonry. The only information that we will not share with you are the handshakes and tokens used to gain admittance to a meeting, and this information can be found readily on the internet.
