Gets higher pitched as I accelerate. Very deep and low pitched at low speeds. Diminishes around curves, or if I jerk the wheel quickly . Sounds like it is coming from the mid rear of the car. Did the brakes 4 weeks ago. Humming sound started one week later. But not experiencing any problems with the brakes. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like the rear wheel bearings. There was a recall for this, check with the dealer by stopping by and or call with the 17 ditget VIN.

Sounds like your rear wheel bearings need to be replaced. Where did you get the brakes done? At the dealership, or a "garage"? I would DEFINITELY recommend having them replaced at the dealership due to the fact that there are specific special tools needed to install the seals on the brake drums that house the wheel bearings. The part number for kit that includes the entire set with bearings, seals, & caps is 1M5Z-4A013-WW. Hope this helps.

Could be rear bearings as Josh has stated, but could also be rear tire wear or cupping causing the noise.
