How do I ask?

I have this ball coming up where the girl has to ask the guy... I know who I want to ask but I don't ever see him alone...I know he likes me but I am shy so I don't want to call him and that might be a little foward..but I don't want to ask him online because that is kind of ..not personal..so any suggestions? Should I just call him anyways?

Girlfriend..listen we do not live in the days where girls/women have to wait for a man. Go for it!!! Give him a call..the longer you procrastinate the more likely someone will ask him before you. Good Luck!!!

you could approach it in many different ways....

if you are shy, you could make him an invitation, and in the invitation say something like: I will call you for your RSVP on *insert date here*

Make it fun... in the invitation, describe him and what you like about him,

for example:

word on the street is that you are a great guy and you look great in a tux (suit, jeans whatever).

I hear you have blue suede shoes in your closet that are getting dusty so I figure I would remedy that by offering you a night of dancing and fun with me at *insert place here* on *insert date here*

and at the end say something like
"with all these great qualities, you might have 50 invites in your hand, but I hope you'll choose mine."

make him feel great that you want to share your time with him

and follow up with a phonecall... this way you have something to laugh about and you wont feel nervous about calling him. You';ll already have broken the ice with the invite.
