Myself, the husband, the 2 girls, Grandma and Great Aunt. The rest of the family are going abroad or to other sides of the family. I will be cooking. But I am GOOD! So not accounting for the stress, it should be a good day.

I think we're just staying home too. We'll probably get together with the family for a few hours but for the most part I just want to stay at home and relax. New Years I'm staying put at home.

I'm going to try and keep everybody happy and in the process make a very happy time of year very stressful.
I love Christmas, the presents, the decorations, the carols etc but every year it's a case of trying to please everyone - just for a change I'd like to please me and the BF and have a quiet one at home! - the world isn't going to end in those few days.

I dont know. My husband left us 4 months ago, so me and the kids will be going my mums, if i'm not working that is...a really sore subject, as I've been asked to work nights Boxing day, but Christmas eve is'nt covered yet. I know its part of my job to work at these times but with so much upset, I really hope to be at home christmas eve night! Theres also pleny of other nurses on the ward who don't have children, but we will just have to see what happens.

6 Kids? Jeez! Bet its hectic at Xmas at your house!
I'm single, living alone, so I'll have the complete opposite to your Xmas!

I'll go to my duaghter's home and spend the day with her and her partner and 2 daughters.
They live 3 minutes walk from me, I get a phone call around 8 am, go there for breakfast, open my presents, then spend a great day with them.
I go home in the early evening, that gives them some time to themselves, and lets me recover.
