I don't care about tight or loose so much as long as the outfit is put together well. When I was pregnant with both of my kids I wore maternity clothes that fit me well. But I see these pregnant women walking around town with their pants down their there pubic hair line and their shirt barely covering their huge protruding belly buttons. If you can't let go of your clothes from the juniors section, maybe motherhood isn't for you...but thats just my opinion.

I prefer to see pregnant women wearing what is comfortable to move around in. Smock dresses can be cumbersome - too much material preventing easy movement of the legs and arms, especially if one has a neurological or other movement disorder. Smocks can also get hot because of the larger amounts of pleats and folds of material. I have yet to see a pregnant woman wearing "tight"clothing. I believe "close fitting" is the intended word. The material is elasticised and moves with the body. It is actually more comfortable to wear that type of clothing while pregnant. However I do get concerned when I see the bare tummy exposed by low rise pants and a midriff top. The baby's/foetuses house is exposed to a different temperature to the rest of the mums body and it must have an affect on the baby. I have heard many heart and urology specialists say that low rise pants and midriff tops that expose the kidneys are unhealthy, so bare pregnant tummies must not be very good either. Which brings me to the issue of bare pregnant tummies down the beach. The tummy skin is stretched it should be covered to prevent sun exposure. Once the baby is born, not only will the tummy look wrinkly and flabby for a awhile - it will also have peeling skin ! But that is that pregnant persons choice. Even if it is a poor one. My mum gives 'dirty looks' to pregnant women who wear close fitting clothing OR as was popular with me and other pregnant mums twenty years ago - denim overalls or 'hotpants'. The poor pregnant person has no idea why this stranger is giving them a 'dirty look', and they have done nothing to hurt the person who is giving them a 'dirty look'. No wonder some young folk come on YA Senior Citizens category and abuse seniors !

I don't think anyone looks good in tight clothes, it makes the woman look as if she sees herself as an object and is trying to hard to get attention. Modesty is beautiful, as it leaves more to the imagination. Comfortable, but not baggy, is best. Always try on clothes before you buy them-especially maternity- as maternity sizes are different and you'll want to be sure they fit you correctly.

Well I really like to see the loose clothing, but some women may like a little tighter to feel like they are getting some support on their tummy. I don't like it when their rearends or tummy is actually exposed to where you can actually see there skin. Expecially if they have stretch marks. That is so gross.

I like both. Some pregnant girls look good in tight shirts where you can see how their bellies are shaped... and some look good in loose shirts. Now, pants I like loose because I am almost 9 months pregnant and tight pants dig in to my belly and are just uncomfortable.

I think that if you want to wear tighter clothes you can if you want. If you want to wear looser clothes you can too. It's up to the person. I use to just wear maternity clothes. I really don't like women who wear their pre-pregnancy clothes though that looks reall ugly. Don't have money? Go to the Goodwill.

tight clothes can hurt you and your baby causing yeast infections and more complications during pregnancy and from experience with pregnancy complications don't add to what can already happen. loose clothes are said to be better this is what i whore. making the right choice is up to you.
