This is my 7th grade Halloween Dance and i need a decent costume. Last year, i went as a kid who graduated the previous year because he had the same sweater as me and same-length hair. I need something better this year. No slutty or princess-y ones. Or anything that includes a skirt or a tank top. I'm not for skin...help?!

How about try being a Mime, or a nurse? something that is cute and not Slutty, Last year I was the Jack in the box and it was a hit, I have no clue what your character is, or what bounderies your parents give, but I hope it turns out for you. Its just my speculation but it seems girls have more trouble coming up with costumes than boys.

I have a good costume idea for you!
Have you ever seen the movie CARRIE?
Go to a thrift store, find a WHITE (or a very pale cream colored) dress... go to walmart, kroger (any store that sells groceries) and get KARO SYRUP , it will most likely be in the baking isle or near where you would find vinager. You will also need to get some RED food coloring, OR any type of red coolaid to mix with the karo syrup. (but be careful with this cause the coolaid can stain your skin, as where, food coloring will NOT)
You should also go to the toy section and get a little girls tiara or crown (usually they come in the little princess kit with a wand.)
Use some sissors to cut some holes in the dress. not to many though cause her dress wasn't really riped up in the movie that badly.
After mixing the karo syrup and the food coloring or coolaid, take a BUTTER KNIFE and drip it into the mixture and fling it all over the dress. best to do this outside cause it CAN get messy.
do NOT put any of the mixture on the BUTT part of the dress, cause you'll need that part clean to sit down. ;)
I assure you, you will be the costume winner. LOL

You could go as a gypsy. Not fake pirate gypsy but creepy yet beautiful gypsy. go to a thrift store and find yourself a peasant blouse or something close. Buy a couple different broomstick skirts in contrasting colors and fabrics (to layer.) Attack the scarf section. Find one very thick one to use high up on your waist (like a corset, or hey if you can find a corset, so much the better.) Get a couple more scarves to put in your hair and hanging off of your skirt. Find a short, tight, dark colored vest with no designs on it to wear over the shirt. Pull and pin up one side of your top skirt to show the ones underneath.Then add as much gold jewelry as you can. Bangles, hoop earrings mostly. Do some smokey makeup to top it off. To do some research, look up some of the rennaisance faires. Scarsborough Faire. Bristol Ren Faire. They should have some pics. If you do it right, you'll be fully covered (not skanky) but you'll look very mysterious! you'll be a total hit!

7th graders are into music and television. Is there a singer or actor you would like to be or make fun of? I think it would be great to spoof Paris Hilton or some other flavor of the month actor. Old time favorites to be are Madonna, Cher, Janice Joplin and a few other oldie and moldy singers. Marilyn Manson could be cool if you could get the look. It's fun to pick on the rich and famous, plus all of your friends may feel the same way you do about them.

My favorite of all time is the laundry basket. You cut a hole through a laundry basket and tie it with strings. You step into and fill it with laundry including maybe a shirt on your head. It's really cheap and I got a lot of complements on it.
