Does anyone know what this is caused by?

yup i feel pressure in my vaginal area when i get my period it is caused by your uterus contracting to shed the blood lining in your uterus thats why you have cramps and thats why you have a period

I used to when I used tampons, but since switching to a Diva Cup it's nowhere near as bad. Plus I've saved money and the earth by using it, so every bit of me is happy!

It is a common problem and mostly caused from the tissue swelling.
