Ignore that "leave meth alone" idiot.

Obviously, he/she is on meth.

Anyway, I see what you are saying.

True, you have good white teachers.

However, some can be ridiculous.

Example:

When I was in the sixth grade, I had a math teacher, I'll never forget him, Mr. McLarty. He said to us one day: "Are you in tune with the White Power?" I was like : "OK?"
(At the time, I did'nt know what "white power" mean)

Anyway, he did not try to reach out to his students to help,
his attitude being "it's up there on the board, sink or swim".

I personally believe that if you are racist, keep your opinions to yourself.

Every child deserves a chance, black white, low-income or high-income.

A child is innocent.

Racism is'nt by birth.

A child has to be taught hatred.

If you can't grasp that perception, you should'nt be teaching.

White teachers are giving less attetion to minority students, because in reality they don't wantg to be bothered trying to explain things to them more than once. I have had 3 children gone through the school system, and teachers seem as the years pass that they think that because they are teachers they can get away with anything they do.
I still have my 4th child in school last year she went for the first time to Middle school.
In Middle school things change for children, they treat them as if they were adults. Something that I know is not fair, because that is a big transition to make, from elementary where you only have one teacher all day to middle school were you have to change classes and have 6 teachers to deal with.
There was this one teacher, that was very prejudice, even her students understood that, because she would say something, like Tom is doing a good job (of course Tom was white), you all need to follow his example. Ok, I can see that if Tom hadnt been the only white student there, this could be ok. But he was. The students started reveling against this teacher, they would call her names and call her the b word and call her prejudice right in from of her. I do know that not of the things the kids were doing was right, but whenever they asked for help, they let it go (the asst principal, which she was black but a brown nose). They would not do anything, but I mean nothing at all. Well my daughter used to come home to me everyday, and tell me things that had happened in school, the teacher had it in for her too, but did not mess much with my daughter because my daugther never called her names. Well one day she did decide to pick on mine.
She asked my daughter to take some paperwork out and show it to her, my daughter, being a kid, did take her time, this teacher told her that if she didnt hurry up she was going to throw all her books on the floor and then my daughter would have to pick them up.
Iam the kind of Mom that lets herself be known, all throughout the school. Well my daughter got her paper out and she didnt throw her books on the floor.
You see this teacher had retired 2 years ago, her husband is a lawyer, and she came back to teach because she was bored. I went to school the next day, talked to anyone that would listen, and advised them of the problem with the teacher. Oh by the way I also called the school board.
Well needless to say she retired for good this year, she is not longer going to be back to abuse kids.
I know my story is long but true, but the reason for why teachers can get away with what they do is because parents do not get involved in their children school. I do understand that parents have to work and so on, but your children come first. If you, as a parent see something wrong going on in your childs school, act on it immediatly, dont let it go, your children are the ones that will not be educated in the long run, and get into trouble.
Make time for your children, and make the teachers do their job. If they are tired, let them go out to pasture.
I am known as Mrs. Newton, and that is the way it should be. Respect me and my child, and show your children that you are there for them. So that they don't feel that they have to defend theirselves.
