I think around 21 or so. If she is still in High School, she is technically a child (albeit a teenager). I also think the college age period she is a young woman. But it is until she graduates from college, and is in the real world and supporting herself that she becomes a woman.

There is a maturity that goes along with becoming a woman and after college a woman is ready.

It is different for every female. I would say that a girl becomes a woman when she assumes responsibilities of a woman. Things like watching after her children, working and providing for the household and etc...
Others will define it differently, but that's is how I see it.

A young woman is a female in her teens, a woman is a woman when she is on her own and taking care of her self. Making her own decisions and paying her own way. Good luck and God bless

At 18, she's a woman. Calling a girl a woman when she gets her period is silly, since some girls can start their periods as young as 9.

I think it should be in the early to mid twenties. People are having to grow up too fast these days.

Let them be a girl and enjoy themselves for as long as they want.

technically, most girls would be known as women when they hit age 18, or become "legal".
however, age really isn't that important. in order to really be considered a woman, a girl must be able to act as such, and be able to handle adult reponsibilities, like so.
