They eat whatever they can find. Usually small animals and scraps they find in trash. They may attack small pets...but not dogs, cats, and definately not people. Unless it's a cougar or something.

I feed my feral cat colony a grocery store bought food (dry and canned) It's better to feed the same thing to cut down on any GI irritation from food change. As far as attacking other animals and people, that is certainly the behavior of each different cat. Some are more layed back, while some are more aggressive. If you consistently feed these ferals the aggression should subside. Good luck.

They are CATS, not bears, not anything else. They are usually very skittish and will attack only when cornered or defending their young. They are usually loners. PLEASE stop believing such nonsense; they are only cats that have escaped or were abandoned and/or born to other feral cats and have had to adapt to immense difficulties in order to survive. If you try to grab one, they will defend themselves as fiercely as they can; but they can be caught in traps and taken to shelters where they can be taken care of and hopefully taught to trust humans; after all, they're only cats.
I've managed to befriend a few ferals that I was later able to find homes for. They've been abused and mistreated while on the streets and/or the forest on their own. They do not trust anyone or anything, and that's part of their survival instincts. They make tremendous pets; they show gratitude for the rest of their lives with their love and affection.

That is really funny...I have never heard that one before. They eat whatever they can find. Generally they raid garbage cans, that is why people hate them.
Some colonies are fed by people who like them.
They also hunt like other cats.
