My best friend moved to Florida from Ny about 4 years ago. we talk everyday like 10 times a day. She has a son thats 3 and i have a daughter who is 3. I wish more than anything our children could grow up togther and we can hangout. They have only met once. She has a boyfriend who i dont think really knows what he wants but he says he loves her and she loves him. Lately he hasnt been calling her and showing her any affection bc his friends are mad at him for not hanging out bc he is with her. She dosnt stop him from calling them or hanging out with them.They have only been togther for 6 months. She wants more then anything to move back to NY but he is the only thing keeping her in Florida. She keeps asking me for advice but its hard for me bc i want her to move home. Should i tell her to keep dealing with him and try to work things out or can i tell her o move on and come home?

You just tell her to stop and think about her happiness for a minute...Is she REALLY happy with this guy, or is she just dating him for another reason? Wouldn't she rather see your kids grow up together? Afterall, you are best friends. She's only been with him for 6 months and if he has to take a break from her to spend time with his friends, he's obviously not ready to commit to their relationship like she may've had hopes for. She doesn't need to sit around and wait for him...(whenever it's convenient for him). He sounds selfish...did he move her down here from NY? Ask what would make her happy RIGHT NOW. See what kind of response you get. No matter what, continue being there for her and support whatever decisions she makes. She especially needs you right now, I'm sure she's down here by herself (no family, little friends) and she has to have someone she KNOWS she can depend on. Love her unconditionally, and tell her that in the end, her happiness is all that really matters (and her child, of course), and if she's unhappy with this guy, leave!!! Good luck! I hope your kids do get to grow up together.

your friend needs to figure out what she wants in life. many times we stay in realtionships because we think that it's allwe deserve or that we will ot ever find another person who will love us or like us. that's bs. We men don't know how to show much attention unles it is related to sex. Women like affection in a sentimental way.
