I need a good horror/scary film to watch. It can be new or old but i would rather it was scary for reasons other than blood and gore

Dont watch any of the Hollywood type scary movies. Ju-On 1 & 2 and other small indie horror films.

I remember watching an older movie when I was younger, called "Black Christmas," and that really scared me. I think it's from the 80s or 70s though.
If you don't mind gore, Hostel was pretty creepy, but then again, you have to have a strong stomach.
I would agree that Silent Hill is very creepy...there is some gore, but it relies mostly on eeriness and creepiness than gore.

The Eye (chinese,foreign movie) its freaky or what the other guy said was the Grudge, but i recommend Ju-On,which is the grudge but was made 4-6 years ago.Oh,and The Eye (not Red Eye)is basically about a asian girl who sees ghosts and cant stop seeing them.

'Excorcism of Emily Rose', 'The Grudge', and 'Amityville Horror' are da superb ones so far that I know of. Try them. There's a new one. I jus saw da trailers. Its something called 'Lady in The water' or something. I really don't know about it but da trailers were not bad. But u gotta watch Exorcism of Emily Rose. Its pretty scary : |

I recommend the Grudge 2 out in theaters its freaky and i think its a great halloween movie!

wilderness is quite a scary film its very gorey its a relativly new film me and my friends enjoyed it altho 1 girl stayed under her coat threw the whole film haha
