I read a study that claimed breast milk has a vanilla smell to it....so I guess warmed milk with vanilla would give you the illusion of drinking you mother's milk. This I guess could calm you and make it easier to fall asleep.

Yeah, it does, but you don't need the vanilla extract if you don't want to...the vanilla just puts in added flavor. Whole milk probably works best since it's heavier, but I'd use skim because it's healthier. Sweet dreams....

I think that vanilla extract is mostly alcohol...if you consume enough of it it will possibly cause you to fall asleep easier

strange though it may seem hot milky drinks
taken last thing at night, really do help you to sleep


Vanilla is very tasty and gives you a relaxing sleep as well .

Far better for you than any sleeping pill .

I've never tried it, but I've heard that it's supposed to work. However, you will be waking up in a couple of hours because you'll have to pee so bad! LOL By the way, I wouldn't try it with hot chocolate because chocolate contains caffeine.

No. In order for the milk to make you sleep you need to drink about a whole quart in order to feel they effect.

Milk contains the same thing turkey has (I don't know how to spell it but it sounds like triptofan). This apparently makes people sleepy but I don't know if it's true or not.

I'm not quite sure about that mixture,but i have tried mixing lychee(chinese fruit) tea with jasmine tea it made me fall asleep easier but it made me sick.
